Lexcel Quality Mark

Lexcel Accredited

We are delighted to announce that Watson Thomas Solicitors have been awarded the Law Society’s practice management standard, Lexcel.

Lexcel is the Law Society's quality mark for practice management and client care. It demonstrates a firm’s commitment to consistently deliver services that meet client expectations, improve overall satisfaction and assist in regulatory compliance.

To achieve the Lexcel accreditation, law firms must demonstrate that they have robust policies, plans and procedures in the following seven areas: structure and strategy; information management; people management; risk management; client care; and file and management.

Our staff have taken immense pride in working together to achieve Lexcel and we have no doubt that it will help us to serve our clients better by attracting and retaining the very best solicitors who are experts in family and child law. Our staff are motivated, feel in control of their work, and know that we have the foundations in place to deliver an exceptionally high-quality service to our clients.

The Advanced Family Law Accreditation

We are delighted to confirm that Rosanna Hounslow, Family Solicitor, has been awarded the Advanced Family Law Accreditation by the Law Society. The Advanced Family Law Accreditation entitles those holding the accreditation to hold themselves out as an expert in a given area of family law.

To achieve this Rosanna had to first obtain the Law Society’s Family Law Accreditation and having worked in the area of Family Law even prior to beginning her training contract Rosanna applied for the Family Law Accreditation as soon as she could and was successful in February 2015.

The Family Law Accreditation shows that members have and will maintain the required level of competence and knowledge, as defined by the Law Society, in the area of family law.
Following on from this, Rosanna then applied for and was successful, in September 2019, in achieving the Advanced Family Law Accreditation in the areas of children law private and advice in and conduct of ancillary relief. This means that Rosanna has met the required standard and demonstrated an in-depth knowledge and understanding in both of these areas of law and can hold herself out as an expert accordingly.
